Why did I pick the hottest time of the year to start running? I haven't been out the past couple of days because the heat has been unbearable. Today is much cooler, so I think I will go out tonight, after the girls are down. I really want to keep up with it.

Yesterday was a fun day. We went to a friend's house for a pool/4th of July party. The girls had a blast. Bg1 was in the pool for hours! Neither one of them got a nap, so it was a long day for them. We stayed to watch a few fireworks, but the girls were SO tired, that we left a little early. They were asleep in less than 5 minutes of being in the car. We had fun though. We bar-b-q'd, swam and had fun with our friends.

Today is a slow day for us. We have been so busy the last few days, that we need a slow day. Bg2 is napping, Bg1 is laying on the couch with a movie and I am getting laundry done for our trip this weekend. We are going to a friend's cabin at Lake Arrowhead from Sat. until Tues. There will be 7 families there and it should be a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to it, but there is a lot of packing to get done. So today is list making and laundry day and tomorrow will be packing day. We divided all the meal assignments up, so we only have to bring food for our meal to prepare for everyone and snacks to share. So that makes it a lot easier!

I forgot to tell you how cute Dan is. Remember how I named his dad's GPS system? Well, Dan got one (it was his birthday present, but he was waiting to find a good deal on one). Anyways, he named it Maggie. Maggie goes everywhere with us. Even if we know where we are going and how to get there. I have to say, he's driving me a little crazy with that thing. But it's his new toy, and he's having fun. What can you do? Bg1 has been saying, "Maggie is daddy's teacher. She tells us where to go." or "Daddy, is Maggie going with us?" She's a regular member of the family now.
