Costco cookies

2007-07-27 / 2:26 p.m.

*I made the Best banana bread with chocolate chips yesterday. It's super yummy and I think I have made mention of the recipe before - it has sour cream in it.

*It's hot. I don't like it hot. I couldn't sleep last night it is so damn hot.

*Bg2 is officially a walker. Her prefered method of crawling is no longer. If she falls down, she gets up and keeps walking. It's fun.

*Conversation on the way home from Costco yesterday evening:
Dan: I can't wait to get home and eat all the cookies we just bought.
Bg1: Daddy, you have to share or else Jesus will be sad at you.
(A short drive later...once we reached the house)
Me: (getting Bg1 out of her carseat) What's wrong?
Bg1: (with arms crossed and one hand on her cheek....looking Very sad...she sighs....) I just can't believe Daddy is going to eat all those cookies.

*I finished painting the frames of my old collage picture frames. I printed a million pictures. I have one frame done and two others in process. I can't wait to update my hallway.

*I went over my bedroom carpet with the steam cleaner for the 3rd time. It still has one spot that keeps coming up everytime the carpet drys. It's driving me crazy! Out damn spot!

*Did I mention that I am not doing well with the heat?

*Tomorrow is Dan's company picnic. They are having it at Knott's Berry Farm, which is only 15 minutes from our house. It should be fun. Bg1 is super excited. They feed us a catered meal and we get in the park for free - not too bad. We're even thinking about coming home in the late afternoon and putting the girls down for a nap and then going back in the evening. Maybe. Depends on if we have to pay for parking twice or not, because, hello? have you met my husband?

*If you haven't met my husband, I'm sad for you. He's the best.

*Beth has been working her ass off lately, and entertaining family, and I haven't seen her in a million years. I miss her. I hate to even write that, because the last thing I want to do is put pressure on her to spend time with me, but oh, how I miss her. We (and by "we", I mean Dan and Matt) are trying to get a weekend scheduled to go camping. I can hardly wait. Two whole days with them. I hope it all works out.

*I'm feeling very needy right now.

*It's a good thing Dan didn't eat all those cookies from Costco, because I really need one, right now.
