A shark's diet

Last night, we were watching a program about sharks, and Bg1 asked me, in her most serious voice, "Mommy, do sharks eat lasagna?" How cute is that? I said, "No cute girl, they eat fish." "What about carrots? Do they like carrots?" Seriously, how can you not love this little girl? Watching her thought process amazes me. I love seeing her try to make connections and put things together.

Dan took Bg1 and Bg2 fishing last night. They went to a local park that has a lake stocked with fish. Apparently, Bg1 did pretty well. They didn't catch anything, but I think it is adorable that Dan spent time with his girls (leaving me at home to have time alone to have a melt down, but that's another story). They were using marshmellows for bait, and when they came home, Bg2 was COVERED in marshmellow. I think she ate more than the fish! Too cute.

I finished my hallway. I am really happy with it. I re-did all the collage frames with current photos and added a few more frames to the walls. I painted several of them black and it all looks really nice. I thought we were going to have to paint the hallway, but after I took everything down, I patched and washed the walls and they look good as new. So I hung everything and I like it! I am very pleased with my creativity spurt lately. First the curtains, then the carpets, the hallway, etc. I'm in the mood for getting the house looking nice. My next creative project is to get Bg2's baby book done. I have everything for it, I just need to get it done. Everyone told me I would never do one for her, like the one I did for Bg1, so being the stubborn person that I am, I am determined to get it done.

In sad news, my dresser was gone yesterday when I drove by the thrift store. Dan said that maybe it got moved inside, but I seriously doubt it. It probably got sold. I waited too long to go get it. I'm bummed. Oh well, we didn't have room for it right now anyways. I'm sure I can find something else when we are ready for it.

I love that it is finally cooling down a bit. I have the house all opened up and there is a pleasant breeze. So nice!
