Moody girl 2007-07-31 / 10:41 a.m. I have been having some really emotional days lately. I have been feeling lonely, needy and just plain irritated at things that have nothing to do with me. I am taking things personally and getting myself all worked up for nothing. So I did the best thing I could do. I called Jeanne Marie. She was wonderful! She listened to me, validated my feelings and gave me some really great words of encouragement. It was great talking to her. I miss her so much and the newest pictures of her sweet baby are beautiful! It has been a quiet morning around here. I took Bg1 to church this morning for a summer program for preschoolers. She is there from 9:00 until 11:30. After I dropped her off, we came home and it was time for Bg2's nap. So it has just been me this morning. It is kind of a strange feeling to not have Bg1 here. Last time I dropped her off, I went and ran a bunch of errands, but today, I didn't have anything that needed to be done so we came home. My mission for today is to get the office/craft room a little more organized, so I can get working on Bg2's baby book. I need to print off pictures so I can get everything in the book and done. If I have a pile of organized pictures, I can usually crank through the pages pretty quickly. We'll see how far I get on that today. Tomorrow, I am taking the girls to the movies. During the summer, many movie theaters offer a free kids movie on a certain day of the week. It is usually packed with kids and moms, which is nice because it is anything but quiet, so you don't have to stress about your kids being silent. Plus, it's free - if they don't like it, or aren't behaving, you can leave. They are showing "Charlotte's Web" tomorrow, so we are going to try it out. Bg1 will be fine, but I'm not sure how Bg2 will do. I'm planning on brining plenty of snacks for her - that usually works. Last night, we had the yummiest and simplest dinner. We had breakfast bagel sandwiches - eggs, bacon and cheese on a bagel. So good! After dinner, we were outside for most of the evening. First we went for a walk and then we worked in the garage for a while. I had lunch with a friend and we talked about taking our bikes with us when we go camping in a couple weeks. Dan and I haven't gone on a bike ride since before we had kids. So we got the bikes down from the rafters in our garage and put some air in the tires. I actually really want to go bike riding, but it is difficult with two small children. We are looking for a seat to go on the back of Dan's bike for Bg2, but getting Bg1 to peddle her own bike might be difficult. She would rather be pushed. I'm hoping that when she sees the other kids riding their bikes, she'll want to ride her's as well. We'll see. If not, maybe one of our friends, that doesn't bring their bikes, wouldn't mind watching the girls while we go for a ride. Either way, it should be fun. Of course, this led to the need to see if the bike rack we had for our Corolla would work on our CR-V. So we had to take the spare tire off the back, see if it fit in the floor board section of our trunk, attach the rack, attach the bikes, etc. It works, so we can take the bikes and the spare tire with us when we go camping. Then we had to put everything back the way it was. We didn't come in until after dark. Funny how a simple thought can snowball into a huge ordeal. Oh well, better now than the morning we are leaving for camping. Hope you are having a good day. K
