New project

Last night, at Beth's, we were talking about how we both want to make upholstered headboards. We started talking about how easy it would be and we are going to pick a weekend and just do it. So I started looking on-line this morning and it is totally easy! It's going to take more time to gather all the materials and pick the fabric than actually putting it together. I can't wait. Another project to work on! It makes me want to go fabric shopping right now!

We had fun last night. We got dinner, went to Target, got ice cream and hung out at her place. It was so much fun to get to catch up. I didn't get home until 11:30 - it was great. Plus, how often do I get to go to Target without kids? Almost never, that when. I am kind of bummed. I bought Bg1 an adorable Hello Kitty ice pack for boo boos, but when I took it out of the box this morning, to put in the freezer, it has a hole in the ice pack. So I have to take it back and exchange it. I HATE taking things back to Target. I haven't shown it to Bg1 yet, in the event that they don't have another one. I don't want her to be disappointed. I also bought her Strawberry Shortcake bandaids because they were cute and on sale.

I'm tired. The cat was throwing up in the hallway this morning, about 5:30 - thank you very much. Then Bg1 was up too early 6:15. And once she is up, she's up - there is no falling back to sleep for that girl - she's just like her father in that way. People, I don't like getting up that early. It makes me grouchy.

Tomorrow we are going over to my aunt's house for the day. It's a really long and stupid story, but the short version is that my mom is staying there for a week and my aunt insisted we come rescue her for the day. So we'll go and swim and eat and spend the day and come home. Sunday morning, I am going to a huge swap meet with a friend. I can hardly wait. I haven't been to a swap meet in many many years. It should be fun.

I have the best husband in the world. I have been on the go a lot lately, and he has been home with the kids a ton. He is such a good dad. He takes them fishing, out to the park, etc. What a good dad! I love him.
