Bg1 stories

While driving to the store the other day, we could see what will be Bg1's school in a couple of years.
Bg1: There's my school mommy!
me: yep.
Bg1: I want to go there.
me: It will be a little while.
Bg1: I want to go now, I'm strong.
me: Is that what you have to be to go to school, strong?
Bg1: Yes, strong and courageous.

Courageous! Isn't that freakin' adorable?! Let me just remind you that she is three! I'm not one of those parents that thinks their kid is the smartest, best kid, but she pretty much is. I don't think I told you this story, but it is one of Beth's favorites. Lately, Bg1 has had an interest in my breasts. I don't pay much attention to it, figuring it is pretty normal to be curious. So one day, she was trying to touch them, and I asked her not to do that.
Bg1: Okay, mommy. Will you play a game with me.
me: Sure, what game do you want to play?
Bg1: Simon Says
me: Okay
Bg1: Simon Says touch your knees (I do), Simon Says touch your arms (I do), Simon Says touch your boobies
me: No Bg1, pick something else.
Bg1: Okay, Simon Says touch your chest (said with a big grin - like she has outsmarted me)
So I touch above my "boobies" on what I consider my chest. She looks at me with great disappointment and a little bit of disgust and said, "Never mind!" and walked away.

That kid kills me!

Bg2 is one of the happiest babies around. She walks around, laughing and babbeling to herself. She is on the go non-stop! She is building up quite a vocabulary, but right now her favorite words are her sister's name and cookie, which she sais, "co-co". She is always asking for a co-co. Super cute!

We leave for camping tomorrow. I'm not ready at all! I have a list made, but that is about it. Yesterday, myself and a friend went and did all the food shopping. There are eight families going, so that is a lot of food - $400 worth of food. So that was a busy day. Today will consist of laundry, finding warm clothes that fit the girls, and packing.

This heat is killing me. Not to mention my poor kitty bitty. I came home yesterday to find that he had thrown up all over my bed! It has to be the heat. Poor thing. We don't have central air, but we do have a window a/c in our living room (which only cools off that room), so the night before last, we had a slumber party in the living room. It was too hot to sleep. So we turned on the air, put Bg2 in her pack 'n play, Bg1 on her new sleeping bag and Dan and I slept on the pull out sofa bed. It was a terrible night's sleep, but at least we weren't all sweatin' to the oldies!

There has been a ton of stuff going on with me - having to do with getting pregnant. It's kind of a long story and I don't have the energy. Basically, my body is whacked. I'm not currently pregnant, but there has been a lot of doctor's visits and tests to figure this out. I'm back on the medication (for my blood sugar) that I was on with both girls and the day before yesterday, I found out that the results from one of my blood tests was that I had ovulated without having had a period - what the? How is that possible? And how do I plan with a cycle like that? So basically, poor Dan is in for the month of his life! Trust me, you won't hear him complaining - so don't feel too bad for him.

In closing, one more cute story from Bg1.
Bg1: Mommy, let's have another baby.
me: Okay, you want mommy to have another baby?
Bg1: Yeah, let's have another Bg2 (insert her sister's name here)
me: But we already have a Bg2.
Bg1: Okay, how about we have a Amelie? I like Amelie.
me: But that's our friend's baby.
Bg1: I know, but I want one of her too.
