Things I love

I haven't written in a few days because I have had a bad case of the blahs. I don't know what my problem is. All I know is that this damn heat is not helping things. I just want to crawl into my freezer and eat as much ice cream as is humanly possible.

I haven't been feeling well lately. Two weeks ago I mentioned that I started back on some medication to help with my blood sugar. Well, it takes a while to adjust to it, and in the meantime, you have some rather uncomfortable intestinal issues - if you know what I mean. Basically, an hour after I eat, it all comes back out of me. Sorry for being so yucky, but you can understand why I haven't been feeling well. It is getting a little better as my body is adjusting to the medication. The problem is that I should really be watching what I am eating. The more carbs or sugar, the sicker I get. It is so hard to go back to not eating those things. Especially if you are slightly depressed and all you want to eat is ice cream. Dan keeps telling me that I am looking skinnier to him, and you would think that would be enough motivation to stick with it. And the goal is to lose weight so that I can have a normal cycle and get pregnant again, but I am just really having a hard time with it all. I just need to set my mind to it, and start working on it. I have been successful with the plan two other times, and have lost a lot of weight. I just can't seem to get things together this time. I am weak and lazy.

Yesterday we went to a little amusement park for small kids - just little kiddy rides for basically kids 10 and under. We met a group of our friends there and before we went, I had this conversation with Bg1.

Me: Are you excited to see all of your friends today?
Bg1: Yes. I am going to hold Allie's hand all day! (She loves Allie. Allie is 8 and is really good with Bg1, unless there are older girls around, and then she's not that interested - which is totally understandable, who wants to hang out with a 3 year old all day.)
Me: Allie may not want to hold your hand all day. You'll have to ask her. If Kaley is there, she will probably be with her. (Trying to prepare her for what will most likely happen.)
Bg1: But Mommy, she has two hands!
How do you argue with such cuteness? Allie did end up spending the entire day with her and they had the best time.

Things I love about Dan:
*he loves the Lord
*he's cute
*he's kind and compassionate
*he adores me and our kids
*he is a good provider
*he is fun to be with
*he is the Best cuddler
*he has good money sense (even if I complain about it occasionally)
*he is very affectionate with me
*he always tells me how beautiful he thinks I am - several times a day
*he is thankful for all I do with the girls and around the house
*he is faithful
*he has integrity
*he thinks he is cute
*he doesn't know what the word romantic means - but thinks he does
*he's smart, but knows I'm smarter - just kidding - kind of, not really.

Things I love about Bg1 (in no particular order):
*she looks like her daddy
*she is very bright and is always saying things that impress me
*she loves to hold hands
*she is very sweet natured
*she is very stubborn and strong-willed
*she loves to dance
*she loves to dress up
*she can be girly and still get dirty
*she loves to have "pink toes" (toenails painted)
*I love when she crawls in bed with me in the morning (after Dan leaves for work and before Bg2 wakes up)
*I love watching her with her sister
*she's not afraid of very many things

Things I love about Bg2:
*she is Happy almost all of the time
*her smile is amazing
*she and her sister have the same dimple
*she looks like me
*she is easy going
*she adores her sister
*I LOVE when she lays her head on my shoulder and cuddles with me
*she dances any and every time she hears music
*I love when she walks with her arms straight up in the air, like a monkey
*she tries to share everything with her sister
*she smells good (most of the time)
*her thighs are more than bite-worthy

We are going to my aunt's this weekend and I have a mountain of laundry to get done before we leave.
