Kim Loves Dan

Vegas Baby! 2007-10-19 / 9:05 a.m. I love that Bg2 thinks that the word "more" is the same as saying, "please". Good news, I found a wig for Bg1! She loves it and it looks so cute on her. She keeps asking to play with it, but I put it away until Halloween. After that, she can play with it all she wants. I was worried she wouldn't like it and wouldn't wear it, but I was pleasantly surprised. I still have to get a black long-sleeved shirt to go under Bg2's bumble bee outfit, and then we are set for Halloween. My step mom called yesterday to talk to me about going to Vegas in December. My sister is turning 21 and the trip out happens to fall on our anniversary weekend. We talked to Dan's parents last night and they agreed to watch the girls that weekend. So we are going to Vegas Baby! I'm usually not a vegas person, it actually disgusts me. But the thought of going with no kids, and being able to be with other adults, is really appealing right now. I'm actually looking forward to it. Plus, we usually have fun with my dad, stepmom and sister. And, we can't affort to fly to CO this year for Thanksgiving, but we will still get to see them. So it all works out! We're trying to figure out what to do for Thanksgiving. I actually want to have it at our house, but Dan doesn't. It's not like he's going to have to do anything for the day, but whatever. Last year we went to my aunt's house, but my mom had just gotten out of the hospital and I felt guilted into it. We usually never spend Thanksgiving with my family - Christmas is enough. Usually we trade off between my dad and Dan's parents. Then Dan suggested that we just stay home and I cook for the four of us, but that seems a little uneventful. I wish we had friends who didn't have a place to go and could all come here. But all of our good friends have family that they spend it with. We always figure something out; it's not like we are going to go hungry or anything. Ok, so the other day, we were walking into a restaurant and this guy comes up to us. First of all, I HATE when people come up to me in a parking lot; especially when I have my kids with me. I just scares me. Anyways, he had this whole story about how he had found the Lord and had just gotten out of prison, and was working towards getting a career going, etc. etc. He seemed very sincere and had a really good presentation. I almost wanted to give him some money. But a)I'm always leary of these kind of people and b) I had NO cash on me. So our conversation goes as follows: I was Pissed! First of all, I was ready to help him if I could have. Secondly, don't call me a Mormon because I didn't buy your story, which I am now not buying due to your terrible attitude! He almost had me! I'm not sure if I was more upset about him being mad and rude to me, or me falling for his story?! It had me worked up all day. Plus, I'm a Christian and him going around claiming to be a follower of Christ, acting like that, gives us a bad name! Seriously? There is a bathroom to be cleaned and laundry to be done. It's going to be a busy weekend. Have fun! K
