Viva Las Vegas!

Dan's parents arrived on Thursday afternoon and I was more than ready to leave. I only wish we could have left that night instead of the following morning. We got out pretty early on Friday morning and headed for Vegas. Let me just say that we are not really Vegas people, but the idea of being away for the weekend far outweighed where we were going. I slept most of the way (after a terrible nights sleep) and we were there in no time. We met up with my dad and stepmom, who had been there since Monday. They were attending a trade show for their business and that is what originally started the whole weekend trip plan. That and my sister turned 21, so she flew out on Friday afternoon so we could all spend the weekend together.

It was a really fun weekend. We had rooms at the Rio - which was a lot nicer than what we could afford - thanks Dad! It was fun to order drinks with my sister and start our weekend of fun. I won money - which I never do! I came home with about $80 - which is more than what I went with. I actually won $50 on the penny slots after only putting in about 50 cents - yah me! We gambled, drank, walked to 50 million casinos, stayed up way too late, went shopping (I'm still kicking myself for not getting that purse I wanted), went bowling in our hotel at 11:30pm, etc. - you know, typical Vegas weekend.

My stepmom was her usual self, and I could go on and on, but there is only one thing I am going to complain about. Okay, so I kind of knew this was going to happen before we went, but I was still kind of pissed. So usually, when we meet my dad somewhere, we have a room and the girls are with us, so my sister stays in our room - she and Bg1 love to cuddle and share secrets - super cute! But, I was kind of hoping that since this was our anniversary weekend, we had no kids, and could have hotel sex, we would get our own room - no such luck. Which, you know, in it's self I shouldn't complain since they were paying, but it's the fact that my stepmom had to make a big deal about my sister staying with us - no exceptions. My sister was like, I'll just stay with you guys, and she was not going for it. I love my sister, and we had fun, it was just the point that the stepmom had to make a big deal out of the whole thing.

The three of them were driving back to CO and leaving early on Sunday morning (7 am), and we didn't have to check out until 11:00, so after they left, we went back to bed! It was wonderful! We very leisurely packed up and headed out of town. We stopped for lunch and some shopping before heading home. By this time, I was ready to see the girls.

Today it is raining, so I continue to be in a good mood. Now, if I could just finish up some shopping - I'd be really happy.
