Sickies in the house 2008-01-12 / 9:03 a.m. We've had 7 successful nights with two little girls in their beds. That changed last night. Bg1 is back to wanting to sleep on the floor. I really don't see the point in forcing her to sleep on a bed, so I let her. At dinner last night, I noticed that Bg1's cheeks were really red and I asked her if she felt alright. She didn't really answer me, and when I touched her forehead, she was burning up. We gave her some fever reducer and she layed on the couch the rest of the evening. Then, at about 3:45 am, I heard Bg2 crying for me. I went in and she too was burning up! I pulled the blankets off of her, took off her socks and gave her some fever reducer as well. I stayed in there rubbing her back and trying to get her back to sleep, unsuccessfully. Bg1 would not stop talking to me. Once she's up, she's up. I had to finally lay down (on the floor) with her so that she would be quiet. After about an hour, Bg2 didn't feel any cooler to me so I got a cool wash cloth to put on her head. She liked that and finally relaxed enough to let me leave the room without her crying. My poor girlies! Bg2's fever is better this morning, now she is just dealing with diarrea and Bg1 still has a fever and the chills. Plus, Dan is still getting over his cold! So I have a house full of sickies. I just keep praying that I don't get sick. Who will take care of everyone if I am sick? Answer: ME and that's not fun to take care of other sick people and have no one take care of you. Even though it is Saturday, it feels like a weekday. Dan is at traffic school all day today for the ticket he got back in Sept. So I am home alone with the girls and it feels like any other work day. This makes me sad because tomorrow will be our only day together and then he's back to work again! Plus, with everyone not feeling well, we won't get to do anything tomorrow. The girls are both on the couch, cuddled up under blankets and watching a movie. Super sweet! I hope they snap out of this quickly. K
