Self diagnosis

After a terrible day on Friday, I am finally feeling better. I am not as worried as I was before. After reading a lot on the internet, and talking to a couple of people, I think I had an ovarian cyst that burst. Everything I was experiencing was pretty consistent with what I read. The couple days following, I was really achey, but not in pain. Anyways, without going into more details, I'm feeling much better.

I'm even a little hopeful. If I did have a cyst burst, it could have dropped an egg, which means I am going to maybe ovulate. This is kind of exciting. Not that I think I'm going to get knocked up right away, but at least I should have a period on my own again. I hate taking the meds to have a period.

This weekend, I got an email from an old acquantance that she is pregnant - unexpectedly with child #4 - AND HER HUSBAND HAD A VESECTOMY! She's more than a little freaked out since her youngest just turned one and they were not wanting a fourth. This is the second person that I know that has had this happen to them. I never understand why that happens to some and then there are so many desperately wanting to have children, but for some reason, can't. I do believe in God's perfect timing and that He has a plan for everyone. And most times, our plans don't match His, but having been in that situation, it still makes it difficult to swallow.

We had a nice weekend. I was able to spend quite a bit of time resting but it was unbelievably HOT! Saturday we escaped to the mall for a couple hours of air conditioning. Sunday was our usual church time and then Dan surprised me with taking us out to lunch afterwards. He never wants to eat out after church. Unfortunately, the place he picked had no AC! We were dying. Then it was home for naps and then off to a birthday party in the park. The park was close to the beach, so it was nice and cool. We were home for baths and an early bedtime.

Exciting news! Bg2 went on the potty this morning! She has been showing some interest and has sat on it several times, but we figured it is still early and didn't want to get ahead of ourselves. But today, she woke up completely dry - which is one of the signs that they are ready to be trained - and so I asked her if she wanted to go potty. She ran to the bathroom and we had success! She was very excited to find out she gets a treat for going on the potty. Now it's all she wants to do - just to get the treat. Bg1 is upset that she doesn't get a treat now when she goes potty. I tried to explain why this was sister's thing, but in the end decided it wasn't worth the headache. So now they both get a treat for going potty. At least Bg2 will see Bg1 getting a treat and it will only reinforce the process.

Today should be pretty easy. I need to get some laundry done, but think I'll wait another day or two. We're going to Dan's parents this weekend, so we'll need clean clothes. Otherwise, we will do some general clean up and maybe some dusting. Our kitchen is spotless - thanks to having to clean up the thousand of ants we woke up to Sunday morning! I hate ANTS!
